POPLAR FARM SCHOOL, Grantham

Poplar FarmIt is with great pleasure we wish to announce that C.I.T. will be opening a brand new mainstream primary school in Grantham.

This exciting news means that we can now move forward with plans to build the new school to the north west of the town, within the new Newton's Place housing estate. The brand new primary school will open its doors in September 2018.

School Name

The new school will be named after the site it is built on – The Poplar Farm Estate.

Poplar Farm forms part of the Buckminster Estate. Planning permission was granted by South Kesteven District Council to build a total of 1,800 houses on the land off Barrowby Road, over the next decade. As many are family homes, this means hundreds of families and their children will move into the town.

The plans submitted to the county council include the new two-storey primary school with associated hard surfaced play areas, sports fields and parking.
