Ascot Class have recently been on their first residential trip to Beaumanor Activity Centre in Leicestershire.
Beaumanor Hall offers outdoor learning experiences for children of all ages, from Foundation Stage through to post 16. The Centre offers a range of educational activities, from adventurous through to nature studies.
Ascot pupils stayed for one night in the beautiful Hall at Beaumanor and took part in numerous team building activities throughout their stay.
They enjoyed orienteering, shelter and bridge building whilst in the evening they sang songs together around a camp fire. Pupil, Lucas said, "My favourite activity was bridge building. We were split into two teams and each team had to design and build bridges across the river. They had to be sturdy because at the end we had to walk across them, that was brilliant!"
This residential trip was hugely beneficial to our pupils and helped to develop their social and independent skills, it also builds up their confidence. A great time was all!
