Isaac Newton Primary School are celebrating being awarded the School Games Gold Mark Award for the 2017/18 academic year.
The scheme is designed to reward schools for their commitment to the development of sports competition and participation across the school and into the wider community with intra and inter-school sport at the heart of the programme.
The assessment criteria has three sections that have all contributed to Isaac Newton achieving the highest award possible. The sections are:
* Increasing engagement in school games
* Developing competitive opportunities
* Broadening the range of opportunities
The school are extremely proud of the broad range of activities they offer during PE, lunchtimes and extra-curricular clubs.
They also have their own Sports Committee, encompassing House Captains and Bronze Ambassadors, Aspire Club Leaders, Change4Life Leaders and Playground Leaders, thus developing the leadership skills and opportunities for many of their pupils.
