    Tesco and Groundwork's community funding scheme sees grants of up to £4,000 raised from carrier bag sales in Tesco stores, awarded to local community projects. Isaac Newton Primary School have been shortlisted to receive a cash award and shoppers are invited to head along to Barrowby Gate and Harrowby Lane Tesco stores to vote for who they think should take away the top grant.  Read more...


  • British Council International School Award success for GANF Schools British Council International Award 3

    Both Sandon School and Ambergate Sports College have been awarded the intermediate level of the British Council’s prestigious International School Award in recognition of its work to bring the world into the classroom.

    The International School Award celebrates the achievements of schools that do exceptional work in international education. Fostering an international dimension in the curriculum is at the heart of the British Council’s work with schools, so that young people gain the cultural understanding and skills they need for life work in today’s world.


    The construction of Grantham’s brand new primary school reached a significant milestone on Tuesday 19th December, when a topping out ceremony took place.

    The topping out of the school marked the completion of the building's superstructure and top-level roof. This is the project's biggest milestone since ground breaking in the spring.

    John Fielding Special School have smashed their fundraising target for their long awaited Sensory Room Project.

    The amount raised now exceeds £23,000 and the installation of the much needed bespoke sensory equipment can begin!

  • Star pupils at Spalding Special Schools!Garth Sedge

    Young artists from both The Priory and The Garth Schools have been designing Christmas cards for MP John Hayes and Spalding estate agents, Sedge Homes.

    They were bowled over by all of the Christmas scenes but picked the entry from Zuzanna as the winner because the 12-year-old painted it with her right foot!



  • Woodlands Academy awarded £10,000 from the National Lottery!  Parkour example2

    Woodlands Academy are thrilled to announce they have been awarded a £10,000 grant from The National Lottery Awards for All Scheme. This great news means that installation of an outdoor Parkour Circuit can now begin and intern engage the students more at playtimes.

    Traditional approaches to physical fitness and emotional wellbeing often do not engage or motivate our pupils. However, many of the pupils are very interested in Parkour and currently engage in free running activities within their communities, often placing themselves at risk of serious injury. Read more...

  • Caythorpe Primary School joins C.I.T.Caythorpe pupils2

    Caythorpe Primary School, Ofsted-rated “Good” in March this year, has converted to academy status and joined C.I.T. Academies.

    Caythorpe School is a mainstream primary school within the village of Caythorpe.  Following a consultation period the Governing Body met on 19th October to consider all of the information and feedback gathered and to make a final decision about the school's future. At this meeting, it was agreed that the school would convert to an Academy as part of the Community Inclusive Trust.  Read more...

    Two pupils from C.I.T. Academy schools have landed roles in the Guildhall 2018 pantomime – Peter Pan!

    Isaac Newton School pupil, Max Lygo (11), and Ambergate Sports College Head Boy, Lucas Wilson (15), will both be acting in this years PolkaDot Pantomime.
