The MAT Excellence Awards are all about celebrating excellence and impact in school trusts and businesses.
We are proud to announce that the Community Inclusive Trust have been shortlisted for Trust Executive Team of the Year Award. This is an incredible achievement for CIT on its mission to ensure that all pupils within its schools receive the best education and care, and the Trust works in partnership to support and improve the education system.
This achievement comes in the wake of many initiatives and accomplishments including:
- Relentless Focus – five schools that were previously in ‘measures’ when joining the Trust have transformed to achieve a ‘good’ rating, reflecting CIT’s relentless focus on quality and support.
- New Schools Opening – expanding educational opportunities, CIT have successfully opened four new Free Schools.
- Strategic Initiatives: Procurement – introduced in 2023 by the CFOO, this strategy has delivered £137k in savings through multi-year contracts.
- Strategic Initiatives: Sustainability – the rollout of solar panels across CIT schools during 2022–23 has saved 70.5 tonnes of CO₂ (equivalent to planting 2,776 trees) and £49,349 in energy cost savings, reinvested directly into schools and pupils.
