Environment Day at Boston Endeavour Academy

CIT - Community Inclusive Trust. Where learning comes first

Pupils at Boston Endeavour Academy enjoyed a fantastic Environment Day led by East Lindsey Council, learning all about the world around them through a variety of hands-on learning experiences.

Each class were thrilled to explore the ERIC (Energy & Retrofit Information Clinic) van, a fully electric energy vehicle that showcases energy efficient measures such as insulation, air source heat pumps and solar panels.

Pupils enjoyed working with the energy team who looked at a variety of resources, such as hand press torches, whilst the climate change team talked through the benefits of solar panels and insulation for homes.

The classes also went on a waste management hunt, finding vital information about a ‘suspected fly-tipper’ before enjoying a game of recycling snakes and ladders.

The pupils were thrilled to see and learn about ‘Steve The Street Sweeper’ and ‘Barry The Bin Lorry’ who took a well-deserved rest from their daily workload.
