  • The Clancy Group:interactive digger experience (using all the buttons under supervision). Traffic management (learning how to use a pedestrian crossing). PPE.
  • Sainsburys:security tagging. Guess the amount of shopping. Taste testing, Nutrition. Age restrictions. Packaging and pricing.

Head of School, Zoe Williams, said:

“This is a really important day in our school calendar. It’s a chance for pupils to experience different types of future employment possibilities, as well as an opportunity to learn about different companies and what they do.

I’d like to specifically thank Bill Baird-Parker from LCC as well as teacher Dominic Mason, for their huge support in organising the day. It has been a team effort with planning beginning in September as it’s a ‘whole school’ event so that children of all ages can take part.”

Bill Baird-Parker, LCC Employment Officer:

“I started my SEND journey at Tulip Academy as a volunteer in 2017. The pupils and staff are truly inspirational, giving everybody the opportunity to get involved and have fun.

Exciting interactive careers events can only take place if you have supportive employers who are prepared to go the extra mile and showcase their businesses in interesting and imaginative ways. This will mean that pupils will remember the day long after it’s finished. Thank you to all the wonderful employers who supported this career event.”
