When Farmer David came to visit…

CIT - Community Inclusive Trust. Where learning comes first

As part of the Lincolnshire Showgrounds Education Programme, Isaac Newton Primary School were lucky enough to receive a visit from Lincolnshire Farmer David Casswell.

Based at Pattingden Farm in South Kyme, David brought his tractor into school for the children to look around and taught them all about agriculture.

EYFS and Year 1 pupils were told about the crops that David grows and they even had a chance to sit inside the tractor. David showed the children oil seed rape and wheat, and explained to the children the process of them being made into oil and flour. The pupils really enjoyed their morning with Farmer David. They even received wheat, barley and beans to plant back in class!
