In the 2022/23 academic year, CIT installed solar panels across its school roofs as part of our commitment to reducing carbon emissions and supporting a more sustainable future.
Nearly three years on, we’re proud to share the impact:
- 70.5 tonnes of CO₂ emissions saved – the equivalent of planting 2,776 trees!
- £49,349 in energy cost savings, allowing us to reinvest directly into our schools and pupils.
These savings have helped fund:
- Additional qualified practitioners for pupil assessments.
- 100 days of teaching coaching for staff.
- An online teacher feedback system.
- IMP ICFP budget module for all schools.
- Staff flu vaccinations.
This is just one example of how sustainability and smart investment can go hand in hand to benefit both our planet and our pupils.
