Consultation on a New Specialist Primary Provision

CIT - Community Inclusive Trust. Where learning comes first

The Community Inclusive Trust (CIT) is proposing an exciting development to better support children with additional needs.

We are planning to open a small specialist primary provision (known as a satellite) at Chapel St Leonards Primary School, run by Woodlands Academy. Both schools are part of CIT.

What is being proposed?

  • A specialist provision for up to 16 primary-aged pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
  • This provision will support children who have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) that identifies the need for specialist support.
  • Children will learn in a nurturing, structured environment within a mainstream school, helping them feel part of the wider school community.
  • Where appropriate, the aim is to support pupils to successfully return to full-time mainstream education over time.
