This week is the NSPCC Kindness Week and Carre’s Grammar School are embracing the fundraiser with a range of activities that are inspiring kindness across the school and local community. Last year, the school raised £915 for Childline as part of the week of activities and are looking to match that figure again this year.
Each student at Carre’s has a task sheet where they are encouraged to complete 6 kindness activities, ranging from yoga, mindfulness colouring, litter picking, book swaps, bug hotel making and much more.
Every form group also have ‘secret kindness missions’ for another form group and staff are embracing the week with senior leaders baking for colleagues on Friday and post-it hearts being sent to other staff.
The kindness extends to the local community with 12 students attending a local primary school to speak to Year 6 children about what life is like at secondary school.
Across CIT, we are encouraging all of our schools to embrace the CIT Kindness Challenge. Keep updated with the progress on our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/citacademies1/
