CIT’s Comm’s & Fundraising Team wanted to keep you updated on fundraising achievements so far this year, with thousands of pounds secured to enhance pupils’ experiences both in and out of the classroom.
One of the biggest successes so far has been transport funding for school trips. An impressive £21,362 has been raised to support 56 different trips for pupils across 7 Trust schools. This vital funding ensures that more children can enjoy educational visits, residential experiences and curriculum‑enhancing opportunities that build confidence, broaden horizons, and create lasting memories – without financial barriers standing in the way.
With huge thanks to The Johnson Mukherjee Charitable Trust.

Outdoor learning and play have also received a significant boost this year.
At Greenfields, pupils are delighted with their brand‑new upper school outdoor equipment. The recently installed trim trail – made possible thanks to generous support from Bernard Sunley, The Baily Thomas Charitable Fund, and Tesco – is already proving to be a valuable addition. The new space provides a safe, stimulating environment where children can explore, develop physical skills, and enjoy active play.
Meanwhile, Newton Bridge East Site has unveiled an impressive new play tower, along with an accessible roundabout and two new swings. Thanks to match funding from the Bernard Sunley Foundation, pupils now have access to fresh, inclusive and engaging outdoor apparatus that supports social interaction, physical development, and fun for everyone.

The Trust has also celebrated wins in other areas, successfully securing funding for new library books and gardening projects – further enriching learning environments and sparking pupils’ curiosity beyond the classroom.
With strong momentum and continued success, it has been a standout year so far for fundraising across the Trust. Onwards!
