Lincolnshire SEN Football League Update

CIT - Community Inclusive Trust. Where learning comes first

The Lincolnshire SEN Football League provides a number of special educational needs settings across the county with the opportunity to play competitive football against schools in their local area.

No less than four CIT schools are competing, all of whom have already picked up points this season.

The Under 13s South division includes Ambergate Sports College, Greenfields Academy and Tulip Academy with that group providing a wealth of entertainment and goals galore in close contests. Tulip edged out both Greenfields and Ambergate 4-3 and 7-5 respectively in their opening matches but all of the teams will meet again before the end of the season in what promises to be an exciting Summer Term of football.

Woodlands Academy play in the Under 16s Central group and are setting their sights on a top two finish. Sandwiched between tough games against St Lawrence school in Horncastle, the Spilsby SEMH school put on a great performance to defeat Lincoln St Christopher’s School 7-1.

The Under 16s South division sees Ambergate, Tulip and Greenfields pitted against each other once more and the levels of entertainment have matched those in the Under 13s competition. Ambergate and Tulip shared the points in a 12-goal thriller, before Greenfields edged out Tulip 6-5. However, Tulip responded with a 9-0 victory in the return fixture in Grantham to top the group going into the Easter holidays.
