School staff from Bingham Primary School and representatives from C.I.T Academies were delighted to be invited to an official handover event by Morgan Sindall who have been managing the construction of the brand-new setting on the outskirts of Nottingham.
On a humid Wednesday afternoon, with numerous resource deliveries still flowing into the school ahead of its opening to pupils at the beginning of September, Morgan Sindall employees welcomed school staff with freshly made pizzas, coffee and cakes to mark the celebration. Gayle Ellis, Headteacher, cut the ribbon whilst a drone was flown through the school (footage coming soon) to capture the breath-taking new surroundings.
Staff treated themselves to a break from building furniture and organising resources to meet with colleagues, take pictures with the fun selfie frame and enjoy the refreshments on offer.
Gayle Ellis has been thrilled by the progress of the school building:
“Many thanks to Morgan Sindall for holding this event, what a lovely end to a fabulous relationship C.I.T has had with the team.
I would like to thank everyone involved in the project but, in particular, Tom Hunt (Project Manager) who has been exceptional.
Morgan Sindall, in partnership with Arc Partnership, have built a truly outstanding building. I look forward to working with my new school team to create an equally fabulous school community as we open our doors to our first pupils on Friday 2nd September.”
Morgan Sindall also donated to the new school a Library Book Vending Machine, which the staff can’t wait for pupils to begin to use via a token reward scheme!
