Parents and carers of pupils at Greenfields Academy were fully immersed in exciting workshops on Wednesday afternoon, combining a trio of home reading, trampolining and Pilates.
Following a welcome from Mr Rush and Mrs Evans, visitors were provided with an introduction to a new app to promote reading at home by Mr Jackson – Boom Reader will support pupils and parents to log their reading at home, along with writing book reviews and pinpointing any difficult words they encounter whilst reading.
The visitors were then invited to choose an additional workshop from trampolining with Mr Chapman or Pilates with Mrs Lawson. As you can see from the pictures, everyone who attended fully enjoyed the afternoon, including our Chair of Governors, Mrs Starbuck.
The next parent events are scheduled for February and March 2026 and will include a charity coffee morning and parent bake-off.
