Sleaford Joint Sixth Form: A United Vision for Student Success

CIT - Community Inclusive Trust. Where learning comes first

The Sleaford Joint Sixth Form continues to set the standard for collaborative post-16 education, uniting the co-educational sixth forms of St George’s Academy, Carre’s Grammar School, and Kesteven & Sleaford High School.

This long-standing partnership is built on a shared commitment to increase student choice, expand opportunities, and enhance both academic and personal success for young people across the region.

With over 65 courses available across three campuses, students benefit from a broad curriculum, specialist teaching, and a community that supports individual growth and ambition.

On Wednesday 22nd October 2025, the three schools united to host a vibrant Open Evening, which welcomed a record number of prospective students and their families. The event began with inspiring talks from both staff and current Sixth Form students, offering valuable insights into life and learning at the schools. Families were then invited to explore each of the three campuses, where they had the opportunity to tour the facilities and engage in meaningful one-on-one conversations with staff and students alike.

Mrs Amanda Money, Principal of St George’s Academy, said:
“It is rare that all the secondary schools in a town collaborate in this way for the common good and benefit of all learners. We are rightly proud of the strong, harmonious and mutually respectful way of working that has been established through collaborative and principled leadership.”

Mr Nick Law, Executive Headteacher of Carre’s Grammar School, added:
“The Sleaford Joint Sixth Form is a powerful example of how schools can retain their individuality while working together to offer students the widest possible choice. Our shared vision ensures that every student has access to high-quality teaching, excellent facilities, and the support they need to succeed.”

Mrs Jo Smith, Headteacher of Kesteven & Sleaford High School, commented:
“This partnership is about more than just sharing resources – it’s about creating a community where students are known, supported, and challenged. Together, we provide a rich and inclusive environment that prepares young people for university, employment, and life beyond school.”
