DfE Leaders Visit CIT Schools Across Lincolnshire

CIT - Community Inclusive Trust. Where learning comes first

The Community Inclusive Trust (CIT) was proud to welcome senior leaders from the Department for Education to several of our schools this week, showcasing the breadth and impact of our work across the county.

At Isaac Newton Primary School, the Trust welcomed Nigel Minns, DfE East Midlands Regional Director, alongside Jahana Akhter, DfE Delivery Officer, and Amanda Griffiths, RISE Advisor. They were joined by CIT Directors of Education, Paul Hill (Primary) and James Ellis (SEND), and were given a tour of the school by Headteacher David Milner, spending time with pupils across the school. Mr Minns particularly enjoyed joining the Early Years children during outdoor play.

The visit also included a tour of Greenfields Academy, one of CIT’s specialist provisions supporting children with social, emotional and mental health needs, highlighting the Trust’s commitment to inclusive, high-quality education for all learners.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the county, Kelly Hughes, Deputy Regional Director, together with RISE Advisor, LEARN Director Emily Walker, and CIT Chief Executive Officer Peter Bell, visited Carre’s Grammar School. They were welcomed by Executive Headteacher Nick Law before continuing on to Kesteven & Sleaford High School, where Headteacher Josephine Smith led a tour of the school.

The two groups then came together and were provided lunch by Newton Bridge Academy Hospitality pupils.

These visits provided valuable opportunities to share best practice, celebrate the achievements of our schools, and demonstrate CIT’s strong partnership working across the education system.
