The Community Inclusive Trust (CIT Academies) is seeking your views on a proposal to establish a preschool at Isaac Newton Primary School from September 2026.
The proposed preschool would be located on the existing primary school site, providing a seamless and consistent early learning experience for our youngest children. It would also support the needs of the expanding local community, particularly in light of several new housing developments currently underway, by increasing access to high-quality Early Years provision.
Based on the growing local area (new housing developments) and discussions with the Local Authority, there is a clear need for preschool places in Isaac Newton. We believe that this new provision will offer families access to a school-based, full-time childcare option, with capacity for up to 16 children per session.
Operating Model
- Open daily 9:00am – 3:00pm.
- Breakfast Club from 7:30am*
- 10 Possible sessions during the week (morning and/or afternoon) + Breakfast Club if required.
*The school are currently looking into the possibility of opening an Afterschool Club in order to offer full Wrap-Around-Care.
Consultation Timeline
- 26 May 2026 – Consultation opens
- 16 June 2026 – Consultation closes (3-week period)
- 23 June 2026 – Responses reviewed and analysed; decision made on whether to proceed with the proposal to open a preschool

Responses will be accepted throughout the three-week consultation period, from Tuesday 26 May to Tuesday 16 June 2026. Following this, the results will be analysed, and the outcome will be published on the school’s website.
