Following the recent Osbournby Preschool Engagement Survey, the Community Inclusive Trust (CIT Academies) is seeking your views on a proposal to establish a preschool at Osbournby Primary School from September 2026.
The proposed preschool would be located on the existing primary school site, providing a seamless and consistent early learning experience for our youngest children. It would also support the needs of the expanding local community, particularly in light of several new housing developments currently underway, by increasing access to high-quality Early Years provision.
Based on our recent engagement survey within the local area, as well as discussions with the Local Authority, there is a clear need for preschool places at Osbournby. We believe that this new provision will offer families access to a school-based, full-time childcare option, with capacity for up to 8 children per session.
Operating Model
- Open daily 9:00am – 3:30pm.
- Wrap-Around-Care from 8:00am – 5:30pm.
- 10 Possible sessions during the week (morning and/or afternoon) + wrap if required.
Consultation Timeline
- 21st May 2026 – Consultation opens.
- 11th June 2026 – Consultation closes (3-week period).
- 15th June 2026 – Responses reviewed and analysed; decision made on whether to proceed with the proposal to open a preschool.

Responses will be accepted throughout the three-week consultation period, from Thursday 21 May to Thursday 11 June 2026. Following this, the results will be analysed, and the outcome will be published on the school’s website.
