Isaac Newton Primary School continued their tradition of being strong challengers in local sports competitions by retaining the Grantham and District Volleyball trophy at the start of December.
Several strong teams from other schools tried to prevent Isaac Newton from winning a successive tournament after their exploits in 2018 but commitment to training sessions and working as a team paid off when Isaac not only took Gold but also saw their B team finish in third place.
The school is working towards another School Games Gold Kitemark Award which encourages the development of competitive opportunities, broadening the range of sports available to pupils and increasing engagement in school games.
Ellie Atter, PE Lead, commented: “It was a superb result. The children practiced incredibly hard in preparation for the tournament and thoroughly deserved their win.”
