John Fielding pupils prepare to showcase their talents on stage!

CIT - Community Inclusive Trust. Where learning comes first

Post-14 pupils from John Fielding Special School in Boston are set to take to the stage at Blackfriars Theatre with their first ever musical show, Rock in Time. Combining their talents with Inspire Lincs, an adult social group that is accessed by some John Fielding pupils when they leave school, this is a show not to be missed!

The pupils, all of whom have severe learning difficulties, have been practising extremely hard for the show that will open its doors on Tuesday 9th July for one night only. With some of the pupils using wheelchairs, it is the first opportunity for them to operate the new wheelchair access facilities installed at Blackfriars Theatre.

The show will follow the story of Killer Queen and her plot to take over the country. The musical will take you back through the ages of rock and roll with some modern classics also included.

Lucy Allen, Class Lead at John Fielding, commented: “It has been a pleasure to direct this show with the talented pupils from John Fielding and Inspire Lincs. Everyone has worked incredibly hard learning lines, songs and dance routines, making props, costumes and scenery.

We hope they are able to perform to a full audience and get the recognition they deserve for all their hard work. We promise a very entertaining evening!”

The show begins at 7pm and tickets are just £6 for adults and £5 for Under-16s. Visit www.blackfriarsartscentre.co.uk to purchase your tickets today!
