Chapel St Leonards Primary awarded School Games Silver!
The School Games Mark is a government led awards scheme launched to reward schools for their commitment to the development of competition across their school and into the community. Participating in this process allows schools to evaluate their PE provision and assists them in developing an action plan for future progress.
We are delighted to announce that Chapel St Leonards have been awarded the Silver School Games Mark.
To achieve our award, we have had to evidence that as a school we have achieved the following:
– Provide all students with two hours of Physical Education, school sport and physical activity per week.
– Engage at least 35% of pupils in extra-curricular sporting and physical activity every week.
– Over the course of the academic year, we have targeted provision for those least active young people in the school.
– We have developed our competitive opportunities using the School Games formats. This provided the opportunity for both boys and girls to take part in age and stage appropriate levels of competitions.
