⚽️❤️ In Memory of Katie Bennington ❤️⚽️

We are so grateful to have received a very special donation from Grantham Town FC, made in memory of Katie Bennington, our ‘real life angel’ who will always have a place in our hearts.

It is comforting and quite incredible that Katie is still with us in some way, helping to make a difference for the children and young people at GANF / Newton Bridge Academy. This says everything about the kind of person she was, and the incredible legacy she leaves behind.

We are so grateful to Grantham Town FC for their generosity, and to everyone who continues to honour Katie’s memory in such meaningful ways.

She will never be forgotten, and she will always be part of our story.

❤️💙💛💚At The Gingerbreads first match of the season against Belper United FC, a special moment took place that went far beyond the football pitch. The Grantham Town FC Supporters Club proudly made a heartfelt donation to Friends of Newton Bridge Academy (formerly known as FOSA) in memory of Katie Bennington.

Katie was a much loved member of the school community, and her passing left a lasting impact on all who knew her. Katie’s family, friends, and staff from Newton Bridge Academy were present at the match to witness the presentation, making it an emotional and meaningful occasion.

The donation was handed over on the pitch by Josh, one of the Grantham Town FC players, symbolising the connection between the club, its supporters, and the local community.

The Supporters Club shared that they wanted the donation to honour Katie’s memory while supporting the vital work Friends of Newton Bridge Academy will continue to do for the school’s pupils. This gesture reflects the power of community, kindness, and football coming together to remember someone so special.
