We reported earlier in the year that Woodlands Academy pupils were asked by Coastal Events CIC to design and build a 12ft high wooden bike for Lincolnshire Bike Week. Following the cancellation of the event in July, the pupil’s giant creation was finally set a light on Sunday night at a spectacular firework extravaganza!
Coastal Events CIC and Visit Lincs Coast held a massive pyro musical display on Sunday 4th November at Trusthorpe Festival Fields in Lincolnshire.
Steve Everton, Teacher, said, “The project has allowed the pupils to gain real skills in a live project. In completing the burning bike they have been able achieve progress in valuable course work and helped a local community project. It’s a win-win situation for all concerned.”
